This adorable Bunny Hop Topper is quick and easy to make. It is great for home décor and makes a lovely gift. Swap out the tea towel and put a “Welcome” plaque to make it really homely.
The pieces are all made in the hoop. All the pieces are stitched out in 3 hoops. They are then filled and sewn closed by hand. The pieces are then attached together with a bit of hand sewing. I used a wooden spoon to go through the rings that are sewn on by the feet. You could use a narrow wooden rod or something similar if you want to change it up.
This design comes in 3 sizes, 5x7, 6x10 and 7x12
You will need fleece for this project and some small pieces of cotton for the applique sections. You will also need some stuffing to fill the pieces. A good quality quilting thread is also recommended to sew the pieces together and to add the stitching to the paws and mouth section of the face. Additional decorations, such as a ribbon bow, can also be added. You will also need 3 plastic curtain rings, to finish this cute project. See PDF below for details and sizes.
