Children’s Chef Set - PDF Pattern
This children's chef set pattern is a perfect sewing project to encourage imaginative play. This set is great for all children, as it is unisex. You can use one fabric alone, or use your creativity to mix and match colours and fabric textures, and create very personalised play sets. You could even add personalised names or initials by printing, embroidering or appliqué. Options are endless if you let your creativity run wild. This sewing pattern comes with an assortment of patterns. It includes; Apron and Chef's hat with three different sizes; toddler (1-3 year old), pre school (3-5 year old) and child (5-8 year old), and one size fits all Oven Mitts and Tea towel. It also includes a step-by-step tutorial with colour photographs to guide you at every step, making it easy for you. This tutorial and pattern is suitable for a beginner to intermediate sewing project (no overlocker required, just a sewing machine with a straight stitch and zig zag stitch). Comes with separate files in A4, Letter and A0 sized paper to print, so you have options. Tutorial is a separate document, that is optional to print. Fabric required: This set can be made with any woven fabric, ideally in a light to mid weight. The oven mitts require additional lining and wadding (polar fleece or similar). *Mitts are not intended for use on hot items. The apron comes with pattern pieces for apron straps, but alternatively you can use pre-made herringbone tape if you prefer. Total project uses 150cm (59") of fabric x 112cm wide (44"). If you choose the herringbone tape strap option, then you will need 190cm (75"). This would make a great project for children's birthday gifts.
