The Folded Star Trivets or Pot Holders are made in two hoopings. With easy placement guides and easy topstitching, these fun projects are made quickly. These projects are perfect to use up left over pieces of fabric.
The prairie point triangles and squares are prepared first. Just follow our instructions on how to prepare these pieces. Then they are placed and stitched in your embroidery machine. These projects have several layers of fabric to them and it is best to slow your machine down when making them.
The design comes with two options, a square pot holder and also a circular one. The finished size of these folded star trivets is 7 ½ inches x 7 ½ inches.
The folded star top layer is done in one hooping and the the quilted underside is done in a second hooping. Once both pieces are done, all that’s left to do, is the baste the two pieces together and bind the edges. This is done on a sewing machine.
Make these for gifts or to sell at craft markets.
Done for the 7 x 7 hoop or larger.
