The fox and raccoon doll softies are fun and simple to make! They are stitched entirely by hand, using a whip stitch around the felt edges and a stem stitch for the mouths. The body-head-ears-arms-legs are all together in one pattern shape – they are not attached separately which can be time consuming and difficult. The finished softies are 7” tall x 4 3/4” across. They are made from scraps of wool blend felt (acrylic felt can be used but wool or wool blend will be more durable). Enlarge or reduce patterns/diagram to make the softies different sizes. Safety eyes are used for samples – other options for the eyes are to make them using embroidery, paint or felt.
