FREE! Driving Through 2024 Wall Hanging Calendar 4 x 4

This year I chose Antique Cars for my theme. I make one of these calendars every year to hang on the back of my family room door. It’s the go to calendar for my household. This Calendar makes a wonderful Christmas gift especially if you personalize it with your family birthdays and anniversaries and any other special occasion. This set includes two Calendars 8x12 Calendar with patterns as well as a plain Calendar so you can add your own patterns to it and create your own Calendar. On this type of pattern, you need to insert your own pattern after the first layer of stipple stitches and change the colour of the font to one that will stand out over your pattern.
Also included are the patterns used in the calendar as standalone patterns that will fit the 6x10 hoop. You can use them on any of your projects and change the colours if desired. If you do, Darkest is the first colour, a medium is the 2nd colour and last is the lightest colour.
When sewing the calendar together, I make it fit my door so as shown in the photo I block each month and sew two together side by side, 6 deep, then add a border and a backing as you do in a quilt. I use push pins in my door but you could add hanging strips on the top and bottom of the border before you add the backing and hang on a dowel. You may design the layout as it fits your home.
Please help yourself to the free sample 4x4 pattern, the other sizes are included in the set.
If you have the ability to add I usually change the dates to a different colour to represent special occasions. E.g. birthdays or special holidays. EG Christmas Dec 25 I would change to red.
