Mini Placemats Spring - 8x12

Do you have some jelly roll fabric strips lying around in your sewing room?
If so, this is the perfect project for you. These mini placemats were
designed with jelly rolls in mind. The 2.50” fabric strips are stitched
together on your embroidery machine. The decorative stitches between the
individual strips look like hand embroidery, but they, too, get stitched on the
embroidery machine. In the right lower corner is an applique design – a
cross on one and a bunny on the other. There is a third version with no
design in the lower right corner. This version can be used for any occasion
or season.
In all, there are 3 mini placemats in your download. They are about half the
size of a regular placemat and quite a bit larger than our 5x7” mug rugs.
The mats accommodate a dessert plate and mug easily.
Roll up the mats and place them in a lunch bag. Given the right fabrics,
these would make great teacher’s gifts, too.
The mini placemats are completely stitched as an in the hoop project. There
is no other sewing machine or hand stitching required.
