Making this quilted poinsettia table topper is easy and fast. You use left-over strips of material in shades of red for the petals and green for the leaves. Each panel is made and quilted in the hoop.
The two techniques used to make these panels are the sew and flip technique and the applique technique. They are both easy techniques to do as all the placement lines and tack downs are built into the design, making it easy to stitch out and complete each panel.
The quilting covers each panel and is part of the design. The satin cover stitching covers any raw edges from the applique sections that are done. This is all done in the hoop.
The panels are joined together and the backing is put onto the table topper with a sewing machine. A bit of sewing knowledge is needed.
